THE PRIVATE COLLECTIONS
In addition to the archival material of the Jaafaria College, Athar comprises several private collections from citizens of the city of Tyre and the region of South Lebanon. Received either as loan collections or donations, Athar is dedicated to cleaning, cataloging, and digitizing these archives. The private collections within the Athar holdings, as of spring 2023, include photographs taken between the 1950s and the 1970s in Lebanon, various African countries, where many Lebanese Shiites emigrated, and Iraq, where many Lebanese Shiites pursued religious studies, or visited kin. The collections are mostly composed of family photo albums, including snapshots of women in fashionable dresses, men at work, children’s birthday parties, outdoor excursions, as well as photos taken at professional studios.
Due to privacy concerns of the owners and donors of these collections, not all the photographs are available online. They are, however, accessible for researchers visiting the Athar center in Tyre.

المجموعات الخاصة
بالإضافة إلى أرشيف الكلية الجعفرية، يضم مركز "أثر" عدّة مجموعات خاصة عائدة لسكان مدينة صور وجنوب لبنان، منها ما هو مستعار ومنها ما أُهدي للمركز. وحتى ربيع 2023، أُنجز تنظيف هذه المجموعات وفهرستها ورقمنتها. وتغطي هذه المجموعات الحقبة الممتدّة ما بين خمسينات القرن الماضي وسبعيناته وهي التُقطت في لبنان وأفريقيا، حيث هاجر إليها عدد كبير من أبناء الطائفة الشيعية، والعراق حيث أمضى العديد من اللبنانيين الشيعة سنوات من حياتهم، غالباً في تعلّم الدين في النجف أو للإقامة مع أقاربهم. وتتألف المجموعات في معظمها من صور عائلية تشمل نساء يلبسن ملابس مواكبة للموضة، ورجالاً في العمل، وحفلات أعياد ميلاد للأطفال، ونزهات خارجية، وصوراً ملتقطة في استوديوهات تصوير محترفة.تنويه: إذا وجدتم صورة لأنفسكم أو لأقربائكم المباشرين ولا تودّون نشرها هنا، يُرجى إرسال طلب "حذف صورة" مع الإشارة إلى سبب طلب الحذف، على البريد الإلكتروني التالي: athar.center.tyre@gmail.com. كما نرجو منكم تزويدنا بعنوان الصورة أو رقمها الموجود في أسفل الصفحة الخاصة بالصورة. مثال: j_1956_sa_0060 وذلك لكي نعثر عليها بسرعة.
